Welcome to the second comprehensive product update. All product updates at a glance โ Modern Intranet, Employee Advocacy, Engagement Surveys, and soon Multichannel Comms. Let’s take a look at what we have in store for you this month. ๐
This month, the Modern Intranet team has started to address Content Lifecycle Management and is launching with a first iteration. For the Employee Advocacy team, we don’t know what to list first. Maybe that it will soon be possible to set custom UTM tags. What the Engagement Surveys team has done? They have continued to work on the Modern Integration – with great success, we think. You want to know what else we have for you? Just read on or jump directly to the respective part.

๐ซ Update on the new notifications center
A large part of the new features and adjustments to the notification center has been unlocked for you bit by bit.
What is still to come? We will add a day separator similar to the one in the mobile app. You will get more context about the source. The information will be displayed even more compactly. And, best of all, you can unsubscribe directly in the notification center in the future.

๐ Archiving blog articles
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the amount of content on your platform? Have you ever wished that some content would take a back seat in favor of others? That’s why we kicked off the end of 2022 with a discovery on Content Lifecycle Management. We wanted to know from our publishers: how Haiilo can support you with keeping content pieces in your digital home up to date, identifying and eliminating duplicates or outdated information and more. Publishers will have an option to archive (and restore) blog articles from the list view or detail view simply by clicking on “Archive” in the context menu. The article will then be hidden from the blog list overview and search. Anyone who has publisher rights (authors rights excluded) can set blog articles as archived โ all users can see archived content. You will recognize archived blog articles by a corresponding badge.

We will start rolling this out on 30th of March
๐ป Advanced session management
Imagine the following situation: you were working on a public computer and logged in to Haiilo. On your way home, you suddenly realize that you forgot to log out. From now on, this is no longer a problem, as you can view and log out of desktop sessions in the same way as mobile sessions. Where do you find this? Exactly where you can find the mobile sessions: in your settings.

๐ Force biometric authentication on mobile
Biometric authentication is a possibility of using a person’s unique characteristics (FaceID & TouchID) to identify them and grant access. On the Haiilo app, we already support biometrics to unlock the app as part of the app lock feature, but the user has to manually enable it. With the new version, users can be prompted to activate biometrics after they have configured their passcode. Of course, they can still skip the function if they do not want to use it. This applies to first-time users and users who activate the app lock in the settings.

Will be coming with version 6.8.0 (appr. end of CW15)
๐ What else are we working on?
Let’s take a peek at what the developers and designers are working on at the moment. A little preview of what you can expect in the next product updates.
- We are currently working on making notifications via email more relevant again.
- In addition, we are putting the finishing touches on the new main navigation and the login screen โ including some accessibility improvements. We are currently preparing some more information for you, which will reach you separately in the next few days.
- More about this in the next Product Updates or take a look at the Product Roadmap.

Employee Advocacy updates
These features are already live โ
๐ Improved email subscriptions & deliverability
From now on, your users will have more flexibility to opt in or opt out from the emails sent from the platform. Having more flexibility on which content to receive – and how often – will decrease the information overload and, as such, increase your usersโ engagement. They can indicate their preferences via their profile >> settings.
More information can be found in our knowledge base.
๐ป Ghost/inactive users deleted automatically
Previously when users created an account on the advocacy platform but never accepted the privacy policy (and, as such, havenโt finalizedย the onboarding), kept using a seat on your platform – even if they never used it. From April onwards, those inactive users will be deleted after 30 days and free up seats for other users. Before the deletion, an automatic reminder will be sent to inform the users.
Users who have gone through onboarding but havenโt been logging in for a certain period of time wonโt be affected by this automatic deletion.
These features are still to come ๐
๐ฑ Onboarding soon possible via mobile
Good news for your mobile-only users! Soon it will be possible to onboard the platform via mobile as well. No need to use the desktop at all. The onboarding process on mobile will be identical to desktop and will only take a few minutes – improving the adaptability of your advocacy platform within your company.
๐ช Customizable UTM tags
Soon, youโll be able to add your own company-specific UTM tags to posts. This should not only improve performance tracking but will help you measure the success of employee advocacy in your company even better.
๐๏ธ Content Calendar enhancement
Weโve heard a lot of positive feedback on the comms calendar, and the team will be focussing on improving the calendar further in the upcoming months; youโll be able to edit the preview, the scheduled time and the channels to which you want to post – directly from the calendar.
๐ง Scheduled downtime upcoming weekend
On Saturday 25 March, from 12:00 – 13:00 CET, there will be a 1-hour scheduled downtime on your employee advocacy platform. During this time, the team will perform some upgrades. After 13:00 CET, the platform will be available again for all your users.
Engagement Surveys updates
These features are already live โ
๐ Modern Intranet integration update
Let’s keep it short: You can now also receive invitations to surveys in the Haiilo mobile app.

๐ Modern Intranet integration update
Again, we’ll keep it short: We’re currently working on giving you information on the Modern Intranet timeline about whether you have already completed the survey or whether the survey has been deleted.

๐ธ Review Haiilo, get a 25โฌ gift card
Because we value authentic feedback on our product, we would like to ask you to write a short review of Haiilo on Gartner Peer Reviews. Gartner Peer Reviews is an independent review site similar to Glassdoor and Yelp, but for the software, people use at work.
Write a review now.
๐ฃ๏ธ Product Roadmap of Q2
We are currently finalising the Product Roadmap for Q2. You will find more information in the next Product Update. Looking forward to it.
๐ฆ Moving release communication to Client Community
We will be moving our release communication to the Client Community from April. Why? We can have a much closer and more direct exchange with you there โ not just one-way communication. Don’t worry: this newsletter will remain. However, it will no longer link to a blog article but to the community. Not a member yet? Sign up here.
And thatโs all for now folks!
Have you met our Product & Tech Team that built (and is still building) all the new features for you? No? Well, now you do. ๐
